Championing our community.

 

Credit unions are founded on the principle of “people helping people.” And at MSGCU, we extend that help to our members, our team, and everyone in the communities we serve. Here’s how MSGCU and our team members champion our community:

• Giving back: Each MSGCU branch donates time and resources to help a community non-profit group or organization as part of our Giving Back program.
• Financial education: MSGCU conducts workshops, classroom presentations, and community events to promote financial wellbeing.
• Community and business sponsorships: MSGCU supports community organizations and businesses through paid sponsorships and/or gifts-in-kind.
• Classroom Cash Grants: Every year we award grants totaling more than $45,000 to fund innovative classroom projects as part of our Classroom Cash Grant program.
• Scholarships: Each year, MSGCU offers scholarship programs to students, educators, and first responders, totaling more than $110,000.
• Team member volunteer efforts: Our team members honor our core values by volunteering regularly. In 2023, MSGCU team members donated more than 1,615 hours of their time at 66 local organizations.
