A day in my life:

One thing I like about my role is that no two days are the same. Each day brings different opportunities and new ways of showing members we care. This could be taking the time to listen to someone tell me about their weekend on the teller line, or opening a new account, and even helping a member refinance their auto loan or home equity loan to help improve cash flow.

Something that surprised me after I started working at MSGCU:

I was surprised by the organization’s sincere concern for its team members and the programs available to ensure your overall wellbeing. I was also impressed that PTO is given on the first day you start work and you are encouraged to use it.

How is MSGCU different than other financial institution/employer you've worked for?

This may sound a bit cliché, but our members are not just a number. MSGCU teaches financial literacy through multiple channels and whether the member is financially savvy or a young adult just starting out, there is something for everyone. It is exciting and rewarding to know we have a hand in equipping members with the tools to understand, manage, and ultimately reach their financial goals. We are truly our members biggest cheerleaders!

Where I want to be in 5 years?

I find my position as a BSS gratifying. I work with a lot of great people, and we make a positive difference in the lives of our members. So, I hope to be in my current role at the Farmington Hills Branch doing what I love!
